What is the FAFSA?

The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It is an online form that can be prepared annually by current and prospective college students to determine their eligibility for financial aid. The FAFSA is also the TN HOPE Scholarship Application.

Where can I complete the FAFSA?

In order to begin the FAFSA, students and parents must first create an FSA ID (Federal Student Aid Identification) here. For more information on creating an FSA ID, click here.

After creating your FSA ID, visit fafsa.ed.gov to complete the FAFSA online. You will need your FSA ID username and password to log in to the FAFSA.

What if i need help completing the FAFSA?

Fayette Academy is partnered with several organizations that can assist parents and students in completing the FAFSA, including TSAC and TN REDI. A representative from TSAC or TN REDI would be happy to schedule a time to meet with Fayette Academy families for a FAFSA workshop. Please contact the Upper School Counselor, Mrs. Taylor Smith; TSAC representative, Jonathan Donald; or TN REDI representative, Dixie Spencer to request a meeting.
